Training Center
Training promotes personal and professional growth of individuals and communities.
The National Confederation of the Misericordie of Italy has drafted a document to structure the training network of the Misericordie and to establish minimum training standards for volunteers and employees, engaged in both operational and coordination roles.
The training network that has been established based on these guidelines is organized in accordance with the decentralised structure adopted by the Misericordie. Activities are organised at national, regional and area level, the latter carried out by individual Misericordie. The training structure offered is organised into the main specialised intervention areas in which the Misericordie operate, including:
Technical-operational area
This area is focused on the Technical Training and Education of Confreres in specific areas and skills, in the following sectors:
- Social Protection
- Healthcare and First Aid
- Civil Protection and Major Emergencies
- Emergency safe driving
Management area
This area is focused on optimizing the management of a Misericordia, through the training of coordination, management and administrative roles, in the following fields:
- Service Management: Volunteer Management and Coordination
- Administration & Management
- Prevention and Safety (Legislative Decree No. 81/2008)
Civil Service Area
This area is focused on the training of young people involved in the National Civil Service, as well as of key individuals active in this sector, through the organization of:
- General and specific training for young people in the Civil Service
- Training for local project officers

Cultural area
This area is focused on the training of Confreres of Misericordia in spiritual and value-related aspects, and on the development of studies about the Misericordie through the organisation of congresses and in-depth publications.
